Electrobit City

Anyone who grew up in the 80’s or has any fond memories of playing Nintendo games will love Electrobit City.

Electrobit City_001At the entrance there is a giant exclamation point. If you click on it you will be taken on a small tutorial that will show you how to explore the areas, and gives you a better idea of what you can do.

Theres a few different areas. A lot is surrounded around Super Mario, you can actually run through the areas just like the video game.

Electrobit City1_001Theres also a cute little bunny friend that you can have attached to you. Theres an area you’ll see him hopping around near the entrance, click on the bunny and hit attach when it pops up on the screen. And now you have a friend who fallows you everywhere you go.

Theres even an area that is set up looking like a nightclub filled with a giant Nintendo controller, fun laser lights, and a few other add ons.

There are so many different areas to explore, where a few of them may not be completely finnished. It looks as though the creators are adding new worlds just like the actual games them selves. Which I think will be very exciting..

The entrances are hidden in the trees, mushrooms, disc’s, and at the entrances a big door. But make sure to explore everywhere. I was in this area for a long time jumping around, grabbing coins, and finding something new around every turn.

I loved it, I hope you take the time to jump back into your childhood.

The Corn Field (SL’s Twilight Zone)

The Corn Field

The Corn Field

I ended up finding this location just by chance. Its such a strange mysterious place, this is one of the SL’s uncommonly known places I’ve been searching for.

The Corn Field, was a place created in Second Life by the Lindens. If people were doing too much griefing to others among other bad things little avatars do. They would be sent to The Corn Field. It was basically a prison to SL residents the Lindens would send you there for amounts of time depending on what you did. The only things there is a t.v. that replays 1940’s black & white channels, a little fire pit area, a tractor with a bad attitude, and endless rows on corn.

The one thing, you could not escape, so no tp’ing out of this location to save yourself. Once your bored of all the corn.

As of right now, you can see the location on the map when searched for. But, you can not actually teleport into The Corn Field. Apparently they do open it up time to time, for special events or around Halloween. So, keep your eyes peeled never know when they might open it up again. And, send all the bad avatars back to The Corn Field. 😛

If, you’d still like to take your chances & travel their yourself, here’s the landmark.
