* Nightfall Cities – Winter wonderland *

I hope everyone is having a great time during the Holidays. Christmas may have ended yesterday, but there are still plenty of places to enjoy some winter fun in SL.

I stopped by Nightfall City to see what sort of things I could find. And, if you love beautiful places or have been looking for some great landscapes for winter photography. This is definitely a destination you should check out.

I had a lot of fun walking around this giant winter wonderland.

Some areas are snowy

some even have palm trees

and there are parts where you are in a complete blizzard

This land is filled with beautiful scenes, animals, homes, cars, places for you to relax, and many other amazing winter activities.

If you are looking for some winter time beauty this is where you need to be.

* Second Life 2015 Advent Calendars *

This is not a typical post. Where its about one amazing specific location, but I do love Christmas time. Everything is so beautiful, and feels so light and free.

So, bringing in the Christmas spirit one of the best parts are the Advent Calendars !!!

They are always so much fun, I know these are a bit behind knowing some stores had already started on the first. But, some are starting for the 12 days of Christmas also.

One of my favorite sites when looking for Second Life items is FabFree. If you have never checked this site out, now is definitely the time.

They also put a complete list together for the different Advent’s going on in SL. FabFree’s Advent list

I stopped by a few different stores and snapped a few photos to show what the different advent Calendars might look like.

KittyCatS! Advent has a giant board in their shop as their Calander. Click to get the days free gift & you can also get the previous days you might have missed.

[CIRCA] Living&C&D Designs Advent another large board inside the shop, sometimes their might be a couple to grab instead of one on certain days. This advent ranges from (L$1-L$75) along with joining their group which is free right now.

Sour Pickles Advent has an actual Christmas tree the advent items are located on. Join the free group and you are able to grab one a day.

Fairplay Advent has their advent set up as numbers scattered through out the store. Find the number for the day to get the advent gift.

 

These are only a couple of ways some of the Advents might be set up. Many on the list are free, some require you to join their free group to participate, and a couple have fee’s to join before you can grab anything off the advent.

There are so many amazing shops joining in with the christmas fun, that everyone will find something they love out of these advent gifts.

* Pulse Games – Carver’s End *

Every year I look forward to Halloween, and mostly because I can’t wait to see what comes out for The Pulse Games. Each year it never fails to be amazing & a total surprise.

This year we get to visit Carver’s End, which is set up like a small city. With homes, business’s,

 churches, along with some shops you can purchase items, and other things you might expect to find in a city.

The actual thing you are searching for is left to a mystery. But, you will be going from house to house Trick-or-Treating.

Some houses will give goodies, some you may hear a grumpy man telling you to leave, and others you may end up in the home,

or inside different dimension.

To begin you will land outside of the city, you’ll need to cross through the dark tunnel to enter. But before you head in do not forget to grab these items. Or you wont be able to fully participate.

On the left side you will find a box that has all the items, or the right side you can grab them each from the boxes.

Make sure to wear the Carver’s End Radio HUD (as pictured ) The HUD will give you text and audio messages that will help you as you wander through the city of Carvers End. And, in case you find yourself lost at anytime the HUD has a Help button that will bring up a guide, and a Home button to teleport you back to the beginning.

The next thing you need is also very important to play, this will pop-up on your screen. So, make sure to accept The Pulse Games experience key.  By accepting this you can fully enjoy everything there is to experience without having pop ups asking for your permission with every little thing. This way Carver’s End will be the only one teleporting you through the area. (below is what the pop-up will look like)

Sound & text are also very important here, this way you can hear & read the sounds and clues. You don’t want to end up missing something that may have been important, just to be confused later. Make sure your volume is on.

There are lots of prizes all over the city, besides the ones from ringing the door bells. Make sure you keep an eye out for little rats, they could be anywhere. These rats have prizes inside of them. ( Below I lightened one of the rats in the photo, so you know what they look like)

* Exiled! Reality series hitting Second Life *

This is the beginning of a its own new world. A new life based on betrayal, lies, and deceit.  A new beginning a semi-reality show based in Second life.

Now stay with me for a moment.

This new show will be called Exiled! and along with it being semi-scripted.  It seems like the people who will be playing the characters will have some openness to improvise onto the characters they portray.

I think this is a pretty awesome idea actually. This is interesting and something different in the realms of what we see day to day in SL.

This story line fallows 1918 at the end of WW1. The royal family of Italy had been taken down and moved to London. Along with other Royal families being forced out of their homes, along with them having to sell their jewels.

These royal families lost everything they ever knew, and brought them selves down to mere commoners. And even though everything they went through none of them ever dropped their royal tittles.

There has been a lot of thought put into this backstory, along with the characters themselves. Everything is very detailed which makes a great story line and sounds like it will make for some very interesting episodes to come from this. To catch up on the rest of the backstory \/

After finding this page and reading though everything, I decided to visit the lot they have open to explore the land & home that is open. This place is beautiful there is a grand staircase when you walk in that even sparkles.

The ceiling has a very large beautiful chandelier.

Along with lovely dining

and living room areas.

Take sometime to explore and read up on this royal family soon moving into SL.

*Second Life L.E.A.’s Reflect the Light *

After some exploring around Second Life’s L.E.A. Sim, I found the first location to visit.

This lovely area was created by Kiesta Aljon

As you enter you fallow a story

and also get pulled into different emotions

everything is very bright and filled with these beautiful colors surrounded by a dark background,

allowing these lights to really stand out.

Each sculpture you come across is named to reflect the different feelings

they can bring.

This entire beautiful piece of art was inspired by lines from a play

“All I Really Needed to Know, I Learned in Kindergarten” – Robert Fulgrum

But instead of using the “I’s” they were changed them to “we”

So everyone could be put into the story.

“We are not the light,

or the source of the light.

But we can reflect the light,

into the dark hearts

of man.”

There are also these doors you will find as you walk through these beautiful lights.

Each door takes you to areas filled with beautiful lights & sculptures.

I hope everyone heads over to this beautiful piece of emotion & light.

You wont regret it.

* Exploring L.E.A. *

Here is the first of my mini-exploration at the L.E.A. Sim in Second Life. Before I dive in and pick a specific spot I’d like to cover, I just decided to wander around.

Wanting to get a feel for what I might come across.

The great thing I found is every area you visit is completely different from the next.

This is such a fun area to get lost in, you never know what you may find. So many creators have put so much into these amazing builds.

* Mini Series on Second Life’s LEA Sim’s *

This is going to be the start of my mini travels to different areas on Second Life’s LEA Sim’s.

LEA = The Linden Endowment for the Arts

These are basically giant Sandboxes for Second Life’s Artists. They can rez, build, create, and build whatever fantasy’s or ideas they have swarming around their minds. This is a giant collaboration between the Lindens and the art community in Second Life.

This is pretty awesome. Some of the areas I’ve seen already are very wild and abstract. I love this, being able to see everyone’s different thoughts and what they create from them.

My good friend Alex (alex.putzo) actually introduced me to LEA, he knows I love finding out about places I’ve never been. And I’m so glad he brought me here thanks Alex. Also, took a few snap shots from the spots we stopped by, so everyone can see a little bit or what LEA is all about.

* SL Star Wars – Planet of Taris *

I had been to this location a while ago. And with talk of the new Star Wars movie it reminded me of this spot. So, I wanted to check it out & let everyone know of this great place.

The Furious Star Wars Avatars is a shop that they have with different items that would fall into the Star Wars world. They have some pretty cool items to check out.

And when you first land on the Planet of Taris you will be in this building and not sure where to head to. There are a few different rooms to see in here. Along with some characters, you will see a blue tag over the tops of their heads. This is to help you know what their names are. Walk up to each character and click on them see what they have to say.

You will find a door that will lead you outside, when you get there grab the HUD on the sign to the right. The really cool thing about The Planet of Taris is you can completely interact with almost everything.

When you get the HUD on look at local chat, along with clicking on characters to find out what the objectives are. You get to go around this planet talking to different people and doing different hunts. The further you go some may get more complicated.

The nice thing you can have a few different hunts going on at once if you happen to get stumped. Bring some friends with you, since there is a one where you will be able to do some Swoop Racing. Like seen in the movies. Its a lot of fun.

There are lots of different buildings and people to meet all over.

 Up near the starting area where you first landed, there is a ship that lands to pick people up every so often. And from here you can fly to other planets and locations, where you can find other people for different objections to get by. But, for those who are not interested in doing the hunts this is still a really fun place to explore. Lots of land and plenty to see.

The Planet of Taris is a wonderful escape into the world of Star Wars. Grab some friends and head over here. 😀
